In this project students were asked to design and build a cardboard house complete with electrical wiring.  Components integrated into each house included: solar panels, ceiling fans, dimmer switches, door bells and lights.

Chemistry: Milk Chemistry - Making Butter

Students ended the term in Chemistry separating the components of milk and learning how butter is formed on the molecular level.  Of course we ended the class by sampling our finished products with some fresh bread!

Physics: Paper Car Project

Students were amazed by the 2-D standing wave patterns and unpredictable nature of newtonian and non-newtonian fluids.

Taking out the box of barbies for the biannual Barbie Bungee jump is always a hit for students.

It was a blustery day on the Walnut Hill golf course but the leader board still had a few scores under par.   Students were able to use their knowledge of mechanics and projectile motion to help navigate the course.

Chemistry Blue Bottle Rxn

Students were amazed by the color changing abilities of the blue bottle reaction.  Critical observations of the process helped generate some interesting hypotheses.

Physics Marble Run Lab

Students put their knowledge of kinematics to the test by launching a marble down a ramp and calculating the impact point on the ground.
